तुझे काल कभी नहीं व्यापेगा। निरंतर मेरा स्मरण और भजन करते रहना। प्रभु के वचनामृत सुनकर मैं तृप्त नहीं होता था। मेरा शरीर पुलकित था और मन में मैं अत्यंत ही हर्षित हो रहा था॥1॥
सो सुख जानइ मन अरु काना। नहिं रसना पहिं जाइ बखाना॥
प्रभु सोभा सुख जानहिं नयना। कहि किम सकहिं तिन्हहि नहिं बयना॥2॥

वह सुख मन और कान ही जानते हैं। जीभ से उसका बखान नहीं किया जा सकता। प्रभु की शोभा का वह सुख नेत्र ही जानते हैं। पर वे कह कैसे सकते हैं। उनके वाणी तो है नहीं॥2॥
बहु बिधि मोहि प्रबोधि सुख देई। लगे करन सिसु कौतुक तेई॥
सजल नयन कछु मुख करि रूखा। चितई मातु लागी अति भूखा॥3॥

मुझे बहुत प्रकार से भलीभाँति समझकर और सुख देकर प्रभु फिर वही बालकों के खेल करने लगे। नेत्रों में जल भरकर और मुख को कुछ रूखा (सा) बनाकर उन्होंने माता की ओर देखा- (और मुखाकृति तथा चितवन से माता को समझा दिया कि) बहुत भूख लगी है॥3॥
देखि मातु आतुर उठि धाई। कहि मृदु बचन लिए उर लाई॥
गोद राखि कराव पय पाना। रघुपति चरित ललित कर गाना॥4॥

यह देखकर माता तुरंत उठ दौड़ीं और कोमल वचन कहकर उन्होंने श्री रामजी को छाती से लगा लिया। वे गोद में लेकर उन्हें दूध पिलाने लगीं और श्री रघुनाथजी (उन्हीं) की ललित लीलाएँ गाने लगीं॥4॥
* जेहि सुख लाग पुरारि असुभ बेष कृत सिव सुखद।
अवधपुरी नर नारि तेहि सुख महुँ संतत मगन॥88क॥

जिस सुख के लिए (सबको) सुख देने वाले कल्याण रूप त्रिपुरारि शिवजी ने अशुभ वेष धारण किया, उस सुख में अवधपुरी के नर-नारी निरंतर निमग्न रहते हैं॥88क॥
सोई सुख लवलेस जिन्ह बारक सपनेहुँ लहेउ।
ते नहिं गनहिं खगेस ब्रह्मसुखहि सज्जन सुमति॥88ख॥
…Those wise and virtuous beings who have tasted the bliss of Lord Ram’s childlike antics, even once, even if only in a dream, regard even the joy of merging into the Supreme Lord (liberation), as insignificant, not to speak of any other earthly or heavenly pleasure…
उस सुख का लवलेशमात्र जिन्होंने एक बार स्वप्न में भी प्राप्त कर लिया, हे पक्षीराज! वे सुंदर बुद्धि वाले सज्जन पुरुष उसके सामने ब्रह्मसुख को भी कुछ नहीं गिनते॥88ख॥
*मैं पुनि अवध रहेउँ कछु काला। देखेउँ बालबिनोद रसाला॥
राम प्रसाद भगति बर पायउँ। प्रभु पद बंदि निजाश्रम आयउँ॥1॥

निज अनुभव अब कहउँ खगेसा। बिनु हरि भजन न जाहिं कलेसा॥
राम कृपा बिनु सुनु खगराई। जानि न जाइ राम प्रभुताई॥3॥

हे पक्षीराज गरुड़! अब मैं आपसे अपना निजी अनुभव कहता हूँ। (वह यह है कि) भगवान् के भजन बिना क्लेश दूर नहीं होते। हे पक्षीराज! सुनिए, श्री रामजी की कृपा बिना श्री रामजी की प्रभुता नहीं जानी जाती,॥3॥
जानें बिनु न होइ परतीती। बिनु परतीति होइ नहिं प्रीती॥
प्रीति बिना नहिं भगति दिढ़ाई। जिमि खगपति जल कै चिकनाई॥4॥

प्रभुता जाने बिना उन पर विश्वास नहीं जमता, विश्वास के बिना प्रीति नहीं होती और प्रीति बिना भक्ति वैसे ही दृढ़ नहीं होती जैसे हे पक्षीराज! जल की चिकनाई ठहरती नहीं॥4॥
* बिनु गुर होइ कि ग्यान ग्यान कि होइ बिराग बिनु।
गावहिं बेद पुरान सुख कि लहिअ हरि भगति बिनु॥89क॥

गुरु के बिना कहीं ज्ञान हो सकता है? अथवा वैराग्य के बिना कहीं ज्ञान हो सकता है? इसी तरह वेद और पुराण कहते हैं कि श्री हरि की भक्ति के बिना क्या सुख मिल सकता है?॥89क॥
कोउ बिश्राम कि पाव तात सहज संतोष बिनु।
चलै कि जल बिनु नाव कोटि जतन पचि पचि मरिअ॥89ख॥

* बिनु संतोष न काम नसाहीं। काम अछत सुख सपनेहुँ नाहीं॥
राम भजन बिनु मिटहिं कि कामा। थल बिहीन तरु कबहुँ कि जामा॥1॥

संतोष के बिना कामना का नाश नहीं होता और कामनाओं के रहते स्वप्न में भी सुख नहीं हो सकता और श्री राम के भजन बिना कामनाएँ कहीं मिट सकती हैं? बिना धरती के भी कहीं पेड़ उग सकता है?॥1॥
बिनु बिग्यान कि समता आवइ। कोउ अवकास कि नभ बिनु पावइ॥
श्रद्धा बिना धर्म नहिं होई। बिनु महि गंध कि पावइ कोई॥2॥
…Can even-mindedness arise without true spiritual knowledge? Can any sense of space exist without the sky itself? Without reverence, can righteousness ever be practised? And without the Earth element, can fragrance ever exist?…
विज्ञान (तत्त्वज्ञान) के बिना क्या समभाव आ सकता है? आकाश के बिना क्या कोई अवकाश (पोल) पा सकता है? श्रद्धा के बिना धर्म (का आचरण) नहीं होता। क्या पृथ्वी तत्त्व के बिना कोई गंध पा सकता है?॥2॥
बिनु तप तेज कि कर बिस्तारा। जल बिनु रस कि होइ संसारा॥
सील कि मिल बिनु बुध सेवकाई। जिमि बिनु तेज न रूप गोसाँई॥3॥

तप के बिना क्या तेज फैल सकता है? जल-तत्त्व के बिना संसार में क्या रस हो सकता है? पंडितजनों की सेवा बिना क्या शील (सदाचार) प्राप्त हो सकता है? हे गोसाईं! जैसे बिना तेज (अग्नि-तत्त्व) के रूप नहीं मिलता॥3॥
निज सुख बिनु मन होइ कि थीरा। परस कि होइ बिहीन समीरा॥
कवनिउ सिद्धि कि बिनु बिस्वासा। बिनु हरि भजन न भव भय नासा॥4॥
…Can a person remain calm at heart without inner peace? Can there be any sensation of touch without air? Can there be true success without faith? In the same way, without devotion to Lord Hari, one can never break free from the cycle of mundane existence…
निज-सुख (आत्मानंद) के बिना क्या मन स्थिर हो सकता है? वायु-तत्त्व के बिना क्या स्पर्श हो सकता है? क्या विश्वास के बिना कोई भी सिद्धि हो सकती है? इसी प्रकार श्री हरि के भजन बिना जन्म-मृत्यु के भय का नाश नहीं होता॥4॥
* बिनु बिस्वास भगति नहिं तेहि बिनु द्रवहिं न रामु।
राम कृपा बिनु सपनेहुँ जीव न लह बिश्रामु॥90क॥

बिना विश्वास के भक्ति नहीं होती, भक्ति के बिना श्री रामजी पिघलते (ढरते) नहीं और श्री रामजी की कृपा के बिना जीव स्वप्न में भी शांति नहीं पाता॥90क॥
* अस बिचारि मतिधीर तजि कुतर्क संसय सकल।
भजहु राम रघुबीर करुनाकर सुंदर सुखद॥90ख॥

हे धीरबुद्धि! ऐसा विचारकर संपूर्ण कुतर्कों और संदेहों को छोड़कर करुणा की खान सुंदर और सुख देने वाले श्री रघुवीर का भजन कीजिए॥90ख॥
निज मति सरिस नाथ मैं गाई। प्रभु प्रताप महिमा खगराई॥
कहेउँ न कछु करि जुगुति बिसेषी। यह सब मैं निज नयनन्हि देखी॥1॥
…O’ Master, I have sung to you the greatness of the Lord’s glory, O’ King of Birds. I have added nothing of my own; all this I have witnessed with my own eyes…
हे पक्षीराज! हे नाथ! मैंने अपनी बुद्धि के अनुसार प्रभु के प्रताप और महिमा का गान किया। मैंने इसमें कोई बात युक्ति से बढ़ाकर नहीं कही है। यह सब अपनी आँखों देखी कही है॥1॥
महिमा नाम रूप गुन गाथा। सकल अमित अनंत रघुनाथा॥
निज निज मति मुनि हरि गुन गावहिं। निगम सेष सिव पार न पावहिं॥2॥
…The glory, name, virtues, and divine tales of Lord Raghunath are boundless and endless, for the Lord Himself is infinite. The Sages have sung of Lord Ram’s virtues according to the measure of their own understanding. Even the Vedas, Sheshnag ji, the Lord of Serpents, and Lord Shiv cannot reach the end of describing His virtues, nor can Lord Shiv fully capture their limitless extent…
श्री रघुनाथजी की महिमा, नाम, रूप और गुणों की कथा सभी अपार एवं अनंत हैं तथा श्री रघुनाथजी स्वयं भी अनंत हैं। मुनिगण अपनी-अपनी बुद्धि के अनुसार श्री हरि के गुण गाते हैं। वेद, शेष और शिवजी भी उनका पार नहीं पाते॥2॥
तुम्हहि आदि खग मसक प्रजंता। नभ उड़ाहिं नहिं पावहिं अंता॥
तिमि रघुपति महिमा अवगाहा। तात कबहुँ कोउ पाव कि थाहा॥3॥
…You and all other birds, down to the tiniest mosquito, may fly across the sky, yet none can reach its farthest end. In the same way, the glory of Lord Raghupati is unfathomable, O’ Dear one, for no one has ever been able to measure its boundless vastness…
आप से लेकर मच्छरपर्यन्त सभी छोटे-बड़े जीव आकाश में उड़ते हैं, किंतु आकाश का अंत कोई नहीं पाता। इसी प्रकार हे तात! श्री रघुनाजी की महिमा भी अथाह है। क्या कभी कोई उसकी थाह पा सकता है?॥3॥
रामु काम सत कोटि सुभग तन। दुर्गा कोटि अमित अरि मर्दन॥
सक्र कोटि सत सरिस बिलासा। नभ सत कोटि अमित अवकासा॥4॥
…Lord Ram’s form possesses the beauty of countless millions of Cupids, while His might to subdue and destroy enemies equals that of innumerable Goddess Durgas. His divine splendour and sovereign grace rival those of millions of Indras, and within Him lies an immeasurable and infinite expanse, as vast as countless millions of skies, offering limitless space beyond all measure…
श्री रामजी का अरबों कामदेवों के समान सुंदर शरीर है। वे अनंत कोटि दुर्गाओं के समान शत्रुनाशक हैं। अरबों इंद्रों के समान उनका विलास (ऐश्वर्य) है। अरबों आकाशों के समान उनमें अनंत अवकाश (स्थान) है॥4॥
* मरुत कोटि सत बिपुल बल रबि सत कोटि प्रकास।
ससि सत कोटि सुसीतल समन सकल भव त्रास॥91क॥

अरबों पवन के समान उनमें महान् बल है और अरबों सूर्यों के समान प्रकाश है। अरबों चंद्रमाओं के समान वे शीतल और संसार के समस्त भयों का नाश करने वाले हैं॥91क॥
काल कोटि सत सरिस अति दुस्तर दुर्ग दुरंत।
धूमकेतु सत कोटि सम दुराधरष भगवंत॥91ख॥

अरबों कालों के समान वे अत्यंत दुस्तर, दुर्गम और दुरंत हैं। वे भगवान् अरबों धूमकेतुओं (पुच्छल तारों) के समान अत्यंत प्रबल हैं॥91ख॥
* प्रभु अगाध सत कोटि पताला। समन कोटि सत सरिस कराला॥
तीरथ अमित कोटि सम पावन। नाम अखिल अघ पूग नसावन॥1॥
…The Lord is unfathomable, deeper than hundreds of millions of subterranean realms. He is as fearsome as hundreds of millions of Samans (Yamraj, the personified Lord of Death). He is as purifying as innumerable millions of sacred pilgrimage sites, and His name annihilates the entire mass of accumulated sins…
अरबों पातालों के समान प्रभु अथाह हैं। अरबों यमराजों के समान भयानक हैं। अनंतकोटि तीर्थों के समान वे पवित्र करने वाले हैं। उनका नाम संपूर्ण पापसमूह का नाश करने वाला है॥1॥
हिमगिरि कोटि अचल रघुबीरा। सिंधु कोटि सत सम गंभीरा॥
कामधेनु सत कोटि समाना। सकल काम दायक भगवाना॥2॥

श्री रघुवीर करो़ड़ों हिमालयों के समान अचल (स्थिर) हैं और अरबों समुद्रों के समान गहरे हैं। भगवान् अरबों कामधेनुओं के समान सब कामनाओं (इच्छित पदार्थों) के देने वाले हैं॥2॥
सारद कोटि अमित चतुराई। बिधि सत कोटि सृष्टि निपुनाई॥
बिष्नु कोटि सम पालन कर्ता। रुद्र कोटि सत सम संहर्ता॥3॥
…The Lord is as intelligent as countless millions of Goddess Saraswatis and as supremely skilled in creation as billions of Lord Brahmas. He nurtures and sustains like billions of Lord Vishnus and dissolves creation like billions of Lord Shivs…
उनमें अनंतकोटि सरस्वतियों के समान चतुरता है। अरबों ब्रह्माओं के समान सृष्टि रचना की निपुणता है। वे करोड़ों विष्णुओं के समान पालन करने वाले और अरबों रुद्रों के समान संहार करने वाले हैं॥3॥
धनद कोटि सत सम धनवाना। माया कोटि प्रपंच निधाना॥
भार धरन सत कोटि अहीसा। निरवधि निरुपम प्रभु जगदीसा॥4॥
…He is as wealthy as millions of Kubers, the Demigod of Wealth, and as capable of creating material Universes as millions of Mayas (the illusory energy). He bears the weight of countless Universes like billions of Lord Sheshnags. Thus, the Lord Ram is limitless, incomparable, and the sovereign master of the entire Universe…
वे अरबों कुबेरों के समान धनवान् और करोड़ों मायाओं के समान सृष्टि के खजाने हैं। बोझ उठाने में वे अरबों शेषों के समान हैं। (अधिक क्या) जगदीश्वर प्रभु श्री रामजी (सभी बातों में) सीमारहित और उपमारहित हैं॥4॥
छंद :
* निरुपम न उपमा आन राम समान रामु निगम कहै।
जिमि कोटि सत खद्योत सम रबि कहत अति लघुता लहै॥
एहि भाँति निज निज मति बिलास मुनीस हरिहि बखानहीं।
प्रभु भाव गाहक अति कृपाल सप्रेम सुनि सुख मानहीं॥
…The Vedas proclaim that Lord Ram is beyond comparison, unparalleled, and without an equal, for the only one like Lord Ram is Lord Ram Himself. Just as it would be futile to compare millions of fireflies to the mighty Sun, so too is any attempt to fully encompass His greatness. Even the wisest Sages, employing the utmost reach of their intellect, strive in this same way to describe the glory of Lord Hari. Yet Lord Ram, in His infinite compassion, lovingly accepts the heartfelt devotion of His devotees, taking delight in the sincerity and love with which they approach Him…
श्री रामजी उपमारहित हैं, उनकी कोई दूसरी उपमा है ही नहीं। श्री राम के समान श्री राम ही हैं, ऐसा वेद कहते हैं। जैसे अरबों जुगनुओं के समान कहने से सूर्य। (प्रशंसा को नहीं वरन) अत्यंत लघुता को ही प्राप्त होता है (सूर्य की निंदा ही होती है)। इसी प्रकार अपनी-अपनी बुद्धि के विकास के अनुसार मुनीश्वर श्री हरि का वर्णन करते हैं, किंतु प्रभु भक्तों के भावमात्र को ग्रहण करने वाले और अत्यंत कपालु हैं। वे उस वर्णन को प्रेमसहित सुनकर सुख मानते हैं।
* रामु अमित गुन सागर थाह कि पावइ कोइ।
संतन्ह सन जस किछु सुनेउँ तुम्हहि सुनायउँ सोइ॥92क॥

श्री रामजी अपार गुणों के समुद्र हैं, क्या उनकी कोई थाह पा सकता है? संतों से मैंने जैसा कुछ सुना था, वही आपको सुनाया॥92क॥
* भाव बस्य भगवान सुख निधान करुना भवन।
तजि ममता मद मान भजिअ सदा सीता रवन॥92ख॥
…The Lord, who is an ocean of bliss and an abode of compassion, is won over by sincere devotion. Therefore, one should renounce all worldly attachments, false pride, and ego, and wholeheartedly worship the Lord of Sita ji.”
सुख के भंडार, करुणाधाम भगवा्न भाव (प्रेम) के वश हैं। (अतएव) ममता, मद और मान को छोड़कर सदा श्री जानकीनाथजी का ही भजन करना चाहिए॥92ख॥
* सुनि भुसुंडि के बचन सुहाए। हरषित खगपति पंख फुलाए॥
नयन नीर मन अति हरषाना। श्रीरघुपति प्रताप उर आना॥1॥
Hearing the charming words of Kak Bhushundi ji, the King of Birds fluffed his wings, tears of love welling up in his eyes. Filled with immense joy, he invoked the glory of Lord Ram within his heart.
भुशुण्डिजी के सुंदर वचन सुनकर पक्षीराज ने हर्षित होकर अपने पंख फुला लिए। उनके नेत्रों में (प्रेमानंद के आँसुओं का) जल आ गया और मन अत्यंत हर्षित हो गया। उन्होंने श्री रघुनाथजी का प्रताप हृदय में धारण किया॥1॥
पाछिल मोह समुझि पछिताना। ब्रह्म अनादि मनुज करि माना॥
पुनि पुनि काग चरन सिरु नावा। जानि राम सम प्रेम बढ़ावा॥2॥
Recalling his past infatuation, he felt deep remorse for once mistaking the Supreme Lord for an ordinary human being. He bowed again and again at the feet of Kak Bhushundi ji, cherishing him all the more, recognizing him as one as dear to him as Shri Ram Himself.
वे अपने पिछले मोह को समझकर (याद करके) पछताने लगे कि मैंने अनादि ब्रह्म को मनुष्य करके माना। गरुड़जी ने बार-बार काकभुशुण्डिजी के चरणों पर सिर नवाया और उन्हें श्री रामजी के ही समान जानकर प्रेम बढ़ाया॥2॥
गुर बिनु भव निध तरइ न कोई। जौं बिरंचि संकर सम होई॥
संसय सर्प ग्रसेउ मोहि ताता। दुखद लहरि कुतर्क बहु ब्राता॥3॥

गुरु के बिना कोई भवसागर नहीं तर सकता, चाहे वह ब्रह्माजी और शंकरजी के समान ही क्यों न हो। (गरुड़जी ने कहा-) हे तात! मुझे संदेह रूपी सर्प ने डस लिया था और (साँप के डसने पर जैसे विष चढ़ने से लहरें आती हैं वैसे ही) बहुत सी कुतर्क रूपी दुःख देने वाली लहरें आ रही थीं॥3॥
तव सरूप गारुड़ि रघुनायक। मोहि जिआयउ जन सुखदायक॥
तव प्रसाद मम मोह नसाना। राम रहस्य अनूपम जाना॥4॥
