सोइ सर्बग्य तग्य सोइ पंडित। सोइ गुन गृह बिग्यान अखंडित॥
दच्छ सकल लच्छन जुत सोई। जाकें पद सरोज रति होई॥4॥

वही सर्वज्ञ है, वही तत्त्वज्ञ और पंडित है, वही गुणों का घर और अखंड विज्ञानवान् है, वही चतुर और सब सुलक्षणों से युक्त है, जिसका आपके चरण कमलों में प्रेम है॥4॥
* नाथ एक बर मागउँ राम कृपा करि देहु।
जन्म जन्म प्रभु पद कमल कबहुँ घटै जनि नेहु॥49॥
…O’ Lord, O’ Shri Ram, I humbly ask for one boon from You. Kindly mercifully grant it to me. May my devotion to Your lotus-feet never wane, no matter how many times I may be reborn.”
जहे नाथ! हे श्री रामजी! मैं आपसे एक वर माँगता हूँ, कृपा करके दीजिए। प्रभु (आप) के चरणकमलों में मेरा प्रेम जन्म-जन्मांतर में भी कभी न घटे॥49॥
* अस कहि मुनि बसिष्ट गृह आए। कृपासिंधु के मन अति भाए॥
हनूमान भरतादिक भ्राता। संग लिए सेवक सुखदाता॥1॥

ऐसा कहकर मुनि वशिष्ठजी घर आए। वे कृपासागर श्री रामजी के मन को बहुत ही अच्छे लगे। तदनन्तर सेवकों को सुख देने वाले श्री रामजी ने हनुमान्जी तथा भरतजी आदि भाइयों को साथ लिया,॥1॥
पुनि कृपाल पुर बाहेर गए। गज रथ तुरग मगावत भए॥
देखि कृपा करि सकल सराहे। दिए उचित जिन्ह जिन्ह तेइ चाहे॥2॥
…The compassionate Shri Ram, the giver of joy, went outside the city and ordered that elephants, chariots, and horses be brought forth. When they arrived, the gracious Lord cast His benevolent glance upon them and praised them all. He then distributed them among the people according to each one’s desire.
और फिर कृपालु श्री रामजी नगर के बाहर गए और वहाँ उन्होंने हाथी, रथ और घोड़े मँगवाए। उन्हें देखकर कृपा करके प्रभु ने सबकी सराहना की और उनको जिस-जिसने चाहा, उस-उसको उचित जानकर दिया॥2॥
हरन सकल श्रम प्रभु श्रम पाई। गए जहाँ सीतल अवँराई॥
भरत दीन्ह निज बसन डसाई। बैठे प्रभु सेवहिं सब भाई॥3॥
The reliever of all suffering, feeling weary (as part of His gentle, playful conduct in human form), went to a cool mango grove. Bharat ji spread his scarf for the Lord to rest upon, and the Lord sat there, while all His brothers lovingly attended to Him.
संसार के सभी श्रमों को हरने वाले प्रभु ने (हाथी, घोड़े आदि बँटने में) श्रम का अनुभव किया और (श्रम मिटाने को) वहाँ गए जहाँ शीतल अमराई (आमों का बगीचा) थी। वहाँ भरतजी ने अपना वस्त्र बिछा दिया। प्रभु उस पर बैठ गए और सब भाई उनकी सेवा करने लगे॥3॥
मारुतसुत तब मारुत करई। पुलक बपुष लोचन जल भरई॥
हनूमान सम नहिं बड़भागी। नहिं कोउ राम चरन अनुरागी॥4॥
गिरिजा जासु प्रीति सेवकाई। बार बार प्रभु निज मुख गाई॥5॥
The son of the Wind God, Hanuman ji, gently fanned the Lord. His body thrilled with joy, and tears of love welled up in his eyes. Lord Shiv said to Parvati ji, “O’ Girija, there is no one as blessed or as devoted to the lotus-feet of Lord Ram as Hanuman. Shri Ram has again and again praised Hanuman’s love and devotion with His own gracious lips.”
उस समय पवनपुत्र हनुमान्जी पवन (पंखा) करने लगे। उनका शरीर पुलकित हो गया और नेत्रों में (प्रेमाश्रुओं का) जल भर आया। (शिवजी कहने लगे-) हे गिरिजे! हनुमान्जी के समान न तो कोई बड़भागी है और न कोई श्री रामजी के चरणों का प्रेमी ही है, जिनके प्रेम और सेवा की (स्वयं) प्रभु ने अपने श्रीमुख से बार-बार बड़ाई की है॥4-5॥
* तेहिं अवसर मुनि नारद आए करतल बीन।
गावन लगे राम कल कीरति सदा नबीन॥50॥

उसी अवसर पर नारदमुनि हाथ में वीणा लिए हुए आए। वे श्री रामजी की सुंदर और नित्य नवीन रहने वाली कीर्ति गाने लगे॥50॥
* मामवलोकय पंकज लोचन। कृपा बिलोकनि सोच बिमोचन॥
नील तामरस स्याम काम अरि। हृदय कंज मकरंद मधुप हरि॥1॥

कृपापूर्वक देख लेने मात्र से शोक के छुड़ाने वाले हे कमलनयन! मेरी ओर देखिए (मुझ पर भी कृपादृष्टि कीजिए) हे हरि! आप नीलकमल के समान श्यामवर्ण और कामदेव के शत्रु महादेवजी के हृदय कमल के मकरन्द (प्रेम रस) के पान करने वाले भ्रमर हैं॥1॥
जातुधान बरूथ बल भंजन। मुनि सज्जन रंजन अघ गंजन॥
भूसुर ससि नव बृंद बलाहक। असरन सरन दीन जन गाहक॥2॥
…You are the destroyer of the might of the demon hosts. You bring joy to Sages and the noble-hearted while eradicating all sin. You are like a rain-laden cloud nourishing the harvest in the form of Brahmins. You grant refuge to those who surrender to You and protect the destitute under Your compassionate care…
आप राक्षसों की सेना के बल को तोड़ने वाले हैं। मुनियों और संतजनों को आनंद देने वाले और पापों का नाश करने वाले हैं। ब्राह्मण रूपी खेती के लिए आप नए मेघसमूह हैं और शरणहीनों को शरण देने वाले तथा दीन जनों को अपने आश्रय में ग्रहण करने वाले हैं॥2॥
भुज बल बिपुल भार महि खंडित। खर दूषन बिराध बध पंडित॥
रावनारि सुखरूप भूपबर। जय दसरथ कुल कुमुद सुधाकर॥3॥

अपने बाहुबल से पृथ्वी के बड़े भारी बोझ को नष्ट करने वाले, खर दूषण और विराध के वध करने में कुशल, रावण के शत्रु, आनंदस्वरूप, राजाओं में श्रेष्ठ और दशरथ के कुल रूपी कुमुदिनी के चंद्रमा श्री रामजी! आपकी जय हो॥3॥
सुजस पुरान बिदित निगमागम। गावत सुर मुनि संत समागम॥
कारुनीक ब्यलीक मद खंडन। सब बिधि कुसल कोसला मंडन॥4॥

आपका सुंदर यश पुराणों, वेदों में और तंत्रादि शास्त्रों में प्रकट है! देवता, मुनि और संतों के समुदाय उसे गाते हैं। आप करुणा करने वाले और झूठे मद का नाश करने वाले, सब प्रकार से कुशल (निपुण) श्री अयोध्याजी के भूषण ही हैं॥4॥
कलि मल मथन नाम ममताहन। तुलसिदास प्रभु पाहि प्रनत जन॥5॥
…Your name purifies the impurities of the Kali era and destroys all material attachment. O’ Lord of Tulsidas, protect this humble supplicant.”
आपका नाम कलियुग के पापों को मथ डालने वाला और ममता को मारने वाला है। हे तुलसीदास के प्रभु! शरणागत की रक्षा कीजिए॥5॥
* प्रेम सहित मुनि नारद बरनि राम गुन ग्राम।
सोभासिंधु हृदयँ धरि गए जहाँ बिधि धाम॥51॥
In this way, Narad ji lovingly recounted the many virtues of the Lord. Then, enshrining that ocean of beauty within his heart, he proceeded to the abode of Lord Brahma.
श्री रामचंद्रजी के गुणसमूहों का प्रेमपूवक वर्णन करके मुनि नारदजी शोभा के समुद्र प्रभु को हृदय में धरकर जहाँ ब्रह्मलोक है, वहाँ चले गए॥51॥
* गिरिजा सुनहु बिसद यह कथा। मैं सब कही मोरि मति जथा॥
राम चरित सत कोटि अपारा। श्रुति सारदा न बरनै पारा॥1॥
Lord Shiv said to Goddess Parvati, “O’ Girija, listen, I have narrated this sacred account of Lord Ram’s deeds to you to the best of my understanding. Lord Ram’s exploits are countless, far beyond hundreds of millions. Even the Vedas and Goddess Saraswati are unable to fully recount them all…
(शिवजी कहते हैं-) हे गिरिजे! सुनो, मैंने यह उज्ज्वल कथा, जैसी मेरी बुद्धि थी, वैसी पूरी कह डाली। श्री रामजी के चरित्र सौ करोड़ (अथवा) अपार हैं। श्रुति और शारदा भी उनका वर्णन नहीं कर सकते॥1॥
राम अनंत अनंत गुनानी। जन्म कर्म अनंत नामानी॥
जल सीकर महि रज गनि जाहीं। रघुपति चरित न बरनि सिराहीं॥2॥
….Lord Ram is infinite, and so too are His virtues. His birth, deeds, and names are without limit. One might still count even a hundredth part of the drops of water or the grains of sand upon the Earth, but the exploits of Shri Raghupati are immeasurable and can never be fully described…
भगवान् श्री राम अनंत हैं, उनके गुण अनंत हैं, जन्म, कर्म और नाम भी अनंत हैं। जल की बूँदें और पृथ्वी के रजकण चाहे गिने जा सकते हों, पर श्री रघुनाथजी के चरित्र वर्णन करने से नहीं चूकते॥2॥
बिमल कथा हरि पद दायनी। भगति होइ सुनि अनपायनी॥
उमा कहिउँ सब कथा सुहाई। जो भुसुंडि खगपतिहि सुनाई॥3॥

यह पवित्र कथा भगवान् के परम पद को देने वाली है। इसके सुनने से अविचल भक्ति प्राप्त होती है। हे उमा! मैंने वह सब सुंदर कथा कही जो काकभुशुण्डिजी ने गरुड़जी को सुनाई थी॥3॥
कछुक राम गुन कहेउँ बखानी। अब का कहौं सो कहहु भवानी॥
सुनि सुभ कथा उमा हरषानी। बोली अति बिनीत मृदु बानी॥4॥

* तुम्हरी कृपाँ कृपायतन अब कृतकृत्य न मोह।
जानेउँ राम प्रताप प्रभु चिदानंद संदोह॥52क॥

नाथ तवानन ससि स्रवत कथा सुधा रघुबीर।
श्रवन पुटन्हि मन पान करि नहिं अघात मतिधीर॥52ख॥

* नर सहस्र महँ सुनहु पुरारी। कोउ एक होई धर्म ब्रतधारी॥
धर्मसील कोटिक महँ कोई। बिषय बिमुख बिराग रत होई॥1॥
…Listen, O’ Tripurari, among a thousand men there is scarcely one who remains steadfast in a vow of devotion, and among ten million who walk the path of righteousness, there may be only one who is truly indifferent to material pleasures and fully detached from the world…
हे त्रिपुरारि! सुनिए, हजारों मनुष्यों में कोई एक धर्म के व्रत का धारण करने वाला होता है और करोड़ों धर्मात्माओं में कोई एक विषय से विमुख (विषयों का त्यागी) और वैराग्य परायण होता है॥1॥
कोटि बिरक्त मध्य श्रुति कहई। सम्यक ग्यान सकृत कोउ लहई॥
ग्यानवंत कोटिक महँ कोऊ। जीवनमुक्त सकृत जग सोऊ॥2॥
…Among ten million detached beings, there is a rare one who attains perfect wisdom, as proclaimed by the Vedas. And among ten million enlightened beings in this world there is scarcely one who is truly free from all material desires…
श्रुति कहती है कि करोड़ों विरक्तों में कोई एक ही सम्यक् (यथार्थ) ज्ञान को प्राप्त करता है और करोड़ों ज्ञानियों में कोई एक ही जीवन मुक्त होता है। जगत् में कोई विरला ही ऐसा (जीवन मुक्त) होगा॥2॥
तिन्ह सहस्र महुँ सबसुख खानी। दुर्लभ ब्रह्म लीन बिग्यानी॥
धर्मसील बिरक्त अरु ग्यानी। जीवनमुक्त ब्रह्मपर प्रानी॥3॥
…Among thousands of such detached individuals, one who is a fountain of joy, truly wise, and one who constantly meditates upon the Supreme Lord is indeed rare. Among those who walk the path of righteousness, the unattached, the enlightened, those free from all worldly desires, and ever absorbed in Brahm (the Absolute Truth), are exceedingly few…
हजारों जीवन मुक्तों में भी सब सुखों की खान, ब्रह्म में लीन विज्ञानवान् पुरुष और भी दुर्लभ है। धर्मात्मा, वैराग्यवान्, ज्ञानी, जीवन मुक्त और ब्रह्मलीन-॥3॥
सत ते सो दुर्लभ सुरराया। राम भगति रत गत मद माया॥
सो हरिभगति काग किमि पाई। बिस्वनाथ मोहि कहहु बुझाई॥4॥
…One who finds true delight in devotion to Lord Ram and is free from false pride and delusion is exceedingly difficult to find, O’ Lord of the Demigods. इन सबमें भी हे देवाधिदेव महादेवजी! वह प्राणी अत्यंत दुर्लभ है जो मद और माया से रहित होकर श्री रामजी की भक्ति के परायण हो। हे विश्वनाथ! ऐसी दुर्लभ हरि भक्ति को कौआ कैसे पा गया, मुझे समझाकर कहिए॥4॥
* राम परायन ग्यान रत गुनागार मति धीर।
नाथ कहहु केहि कारन पायउ काक सरीर॥54॥
