Hindi Meaning
"(निषाद को अकेले आया देखकर) सुमंत्र हा राम! हा राम! हा सीते! हा लक्ष्मण! पुकारते हुए, बहुत व्याकुल होकर धरती पर गिर पड़े। (रथ के) घोड़े दक्षिण दिशा की ओर (जिधर श्री रामचन्द्रजी गए थे) देख-देखकर हिनहिनाते हैं। मानो बिना पंख के पक्षी व्याकुल हो रहे हों॥4॥"
English Meaning
"Overcome with intense grief, he cried out, “Ram! Ram! Sita! Lakshman!” and collapsed to the ground. The horses kept turning their gaze southward (toward the path Shri Ram had taken) neighing restlessly, like birds deprived of their wings."
