"रानी की कुचाल सुनकर राजा जनकजी को कुछ सूझ न पड़ा, जैसे मणि के बिना साँप को नहीं सूझता। फिर भरतजी को राज्य और श्री रामचन्द्रजी को वनवास सुनकर मिथिलेश्वर जनकजी के हृदय में बड़ा दुःख हुआ॥2॥"
