महाबीर बिनवउँ हनुमाना। राम जासु जस आप बखाना॥5॥
"I bow to the lotus feet of Shri Shatrughan, whose name signifies the slayer of enemies. Despite his immense bravery, he is profoundly humble and always follows Bharat ji with utmost devotion. Next, I bow to the valiant Hanuman ji, whose unparalleled glory has been praised by Lord Ram Himself."
ते भरतहि भेंटत सनमाने। राजसभाँ रघुबीर बखाने॥4॥
"The same mistake was repeated by Vibhishan, who took Mandodari as his wife after his brother Ravan was slain. Yet, Lord Ram, in His infinite grace, did not take these faults to heart, not even in His dreams. On the contrary, when He introduced Sugriv and Vibhishan to Bharat ji, He honoured them with full respect in the royal court. Shri Raghunath wholeheartedly praised both of them, exemplifying His boundless compassion and noble disposition."

नृप रानी परिजन सुकृत मधुकर बारि बिहंग॥40॥

कलि अघ खल अवगुन कथन ते जलमल बग काग॥41॥
"The temperament of Bharat ji is akin to the constant chanting along the riverbanks, dispelling countless calamities. The tales of Kaliyug’s sins and the vices of wretched individuals described in the Shri Ramcharitmanas are like the sludge on the riverbanks, as well as the herons and crows dwelling nearby."
भरत सुभाउ सुसीतलताई। सदा एकरस बरनि न जाई॥4॥
"The tales of the virtues of Sita ji, the crown jewel among chaste wives, embody the purity and clarity of this unique water. The noble character of Bharat ji reflects the cooling and soothing essence of this water, ever-consistent and beyond description in words."
जाके सुमिरन तें रिपु नासा। नाम सत्रुहन बेद प्रकासा॥4॥
"…The one who nurtures and sustains the entire Universe shall be named “Bharat”. The one whose mere remembrance vanquishes enemies shall be called “Shatrughan”, whose glory is praised in the Vedas.”"
भरत सत्रुहन दूनउ भाई। प्रभु सेवक जसि प्रीति बड़ाई॥2॥
"From his very childhood, Lakshman ji developed deep love for the feet of Lord Ram, considering Him his supreme benefactor and master. The bond praised between a master and a devoted servant was mirrored in the relationship between Bharat ji and Shatrughan ji, with Shatrughan ji regarding Bharat ji as his master."
चारिउ सील रूप गुन धामा। तदपि अधिक सुखसागर रामा॥3॥
"Seeing the divine grace of the two pairs of brothers—Lord Ram and Bharat ji, dark-hued, and Lakshman ji and Shatrughan ji, fair-complexioned, the mothers lovingly performed the ritual of breaking a blade of grass to ward off the evil eye. All four were the embodiment of humility, exceedingly handsome, and adorned with noble virtues. Yet, Shri Ram, the ocean of bliss, possessed these qualities in their fullest measure."
पूछत अति सनेहँ सकुचाई। तात कहाँ तें पाती आई॥4॥
"While playing with their friends, Bharat ji and Shatrughan ji heard the news and immediately came to the King. With love and a hint of hesitation, they gently asked, “Father, where has this letter come from?…"
प्रीति पुनीत भरत कै देखी। सकल सभाँ सुखु लहेउ बिसेषी॥1॥
"Hearing the words of the letter, both Brothers were filled with joy, their hearts overflowing with love. The entire court was especially moved by the pure and selfless affection that shone through Bharat ji’s face and demeanour."
चलहु बेगि रघुबीर बराता। सुनत पुलक पूरे दोउ भ्राता॥1॥
"Then the King summoned Bharat ji and said, “Go and have the horses, elephants, and chariots adorned, we must leave at once to attend Shri Ram’s wedding.” Hearing this command, both Bharat ji and Shatrughan ji were filled with joy and excitement."
रचि रुचि जीन तुरग तिन्ह साजे। बरन बरन बर बाजि बिराजे॥2॥
"Bharat ji then summoned all the Chiefs of the Royal Stables and instructed them to prepare the horses, elephants, and chariots for the grand occasion. Delighted, the Chiefs rose eagerly and rushed to carry out the task. They adorned the horses with elegant saddles, and many thoroughbred steeds of various hues were beautifully decorated, standing tall and majestic in all their splendour."
सब सुंदर सब भूषनधारी। कर सर चाप तून कटि भारी॥4॥
"Smart young Princes, around the same age as Bharat ji, mounted those majestic horses. Each one was strikingly handsome, adorned with ornaments, and carried a bow and arrow in hand, with a well-stocked quiver fastened securely at the waist."
हरषे लखन देखि दोउ भ्राता। मिले प्रेम परिपूरित गाता॥4॥
"Then Bharat ji, along with his younger Brother Shatrughan ji, bowed at Shri Ram’s feet. Shri Ram lifted them up and embraced them with deep affection. Shri Lakshman, overjoyed to see his Brothers, greeted them warmly, his entire being brimming with love and delight."
