"वह धन धन्य है, जिसकी पहली गति होती है (जो दान देने में व्यय होता है) वही बुद्धि धन्य और परिपक्व है जो पुण्य में लगी हुई है। वही घड़ी धन्य है जब सत्संग हो और वही जन्म धन्य है जिसमें ब्राह्मण की अखण्ड भक्ति हो॥4॥ (धन की तीन गतियाँ होती हैं- दान, भोग और नाश। दान उत्तम है, भोग मध्यम है और नाश नीच गति है। जो पुरुष न देता है, न भोगता है, उसके धन की तीसरी गति होती है।)"

"…Blessed is the wealth that is used for charity. Blessed is the mind, mature and refined, that is devoted to righteous deeds. Blessed is the time spent in the holy company of Saints. Blessed is the birth in which one practises steadfast devotion toward the Brahmins…"
