द्विज द्रोहिहि न सुनाइअ कबहूँ। सुरपति सरिस होइ नृप जबहूँ॥
रामकथा के तेइ अधिकारी। जिन्ह कें सत संगति अति प्यारी॥3॥

Hindi Meaning
"ब्राह्मणों के द्रोही को, यदि वह देवराज (इन्द्र) के समान ऐश्वर्यवान् राजा भी हो, तब भी यह कथा न सुनानी चाहिए। श्री रामकथा के अधिकारी वे ही हैं जिनको सत्संगति अत्यंत प्रिय है॥3॥"
English Meaning
"…One should never recite it to one who bears hostility toward the Brahmins, even if he is a sovereign as mighty as Indra, the Lord of the celestial beings. Truly, only those are worthy to hear the sacred story of Shri Ram who cherish, from the depths of their hearts, the holy company of Saints…"
