"क्रोधित हुए काल के समान वे वानर खून बहते हुए शरीरों से शोभित हो रहे हैं। वे बलवान्‌ वीर राक्षसों की सेना के योद्धाओं को मसलते और मेघ की तरह गरजते हैं। डाँटकर चपेटों से मारते, दाँतों से काटकर लातों से पीस डालते हैं। वानर-भालू चिग्घाड़ते और ऐसा छल-बल करते हैं, जिससे दुष्ट राक्षस नष्ट हो जाएँ॥1॥"

"With blood flowing from their bodies, each mighty monkey warrior looked like the God of Death in rage, crushing the demon fighters and roaring like thunderclouds as they slapped, bit, scolded, and trampled them underfoot, while the monkeys and bears let out piercing cries and used every means, whether cunning or sheer strength, to destroy the vile demons."
