Hindi Meaning
"रीछ-वानर जहाँ-तहाँ भाग चले। सबको युद्ध की इच्छा भूल गई। रणभूमि में ऐसा एक भी वानर या भालू नहीं दिखाई पड़ा, जिसको उसने प्राणमात्र अवशेष न कर दिया हो (अर्थात् जिसके केवल प्राणमात्र ही न बचे हों, बल, पुरुषार्थ सारा जाता न रहा हो)॥4॥"
English Meaning
"The monkeys and bears fled in all directions, their desire to continue fighting completely forgotten. In the battlefield, there was not a single monkey or bear left whom he had not reduced to the mere trace of life, leaving them with nothing but the faintest breath with all strength and valour lost."
