"वह सिर रावण के आगे जा गिरा उसे देखकर रावण ऐसा व्याकुल हुआ जैसे मणि के छूट जाने पर सर्प। कुंभकर्ण का प्रचण्ड धड़ दौड़ा, जिससे पृथ्वी धँसी जाती थी। तब प्रभु ने काटकर उसके दो टुकड़े कर दिए॥3॥"

"The severed head flew and fell before the ten-headed Ravan, who was overcome with anguish at the sight, like a serpent bereft of its crest jewel. The Earth groaned beneath the weight of Kumbhkaran’s massive body as it continued to surge forward, whereupon the Lord severed it into two parts with another arrow."
