Hindi Meaning
"एक (कोई) कहते हैं, अरे मूर्खों! ऐसी सस्ती (बहुतायत) है, फिर भी तुम्हारी दरिद्रता नहीं जाती? घायल योद्धा तट पर पड़े कराह रहे हैं, मानो जहाँ-तहाँ अर्धजल (वे व्यक्ति जो मरने के समय आधे जल में रखे जाते हैं) पड़े हों॥2॥"
English Meaning
"Some lamented, “Alas, how foolish that you still suffer from want even amid such abundance,” while wounded warriors lay spread along the banks, groaning like the dying, their bodies lying everywhere, half submerged in the blood-filled stream and half upon the shore."
