"अत्यंत भयानक शक्ति को आती देख और यह विचार कर कि मेरा प्रण शरणागत के दुःख का नाश करना है, श्री रामजी ने तुरंत ही विभीषण को पीछे कर लिया और सामने होकर वह शक्ति स्वयं सह ली॥1॥"
English Meaning
"Seeing the deadly Shakti weapon rushing toward him, Lord Ram remembered His vow to protect and relieve the distress of those who seek refuge. Instantly moving Vibhishan behind Him, the Lord stepped forward Himself to receive the blow of the spear."
