Hindi Meaning
"श्री रामजी और लक्ष्मणजी मुनि के साथ चले। वे वहाँ गए, जहाँ जगत को पवित्र करने वाली गंगाजी थीं। महाराज गाधि के पुत्र विश्वामित्रजी ने वह सब कथा कह सुनाई जिस प्रकार देवनदी गंगाजी पृथ्वी पर आई थीं॥1॥"
English Meaning
"Shri Ram and Shri Lakshman accompanied the Sage to the banks of the sacred Ganga, the river that purifies the entire Universe. Rishi Vishwamitra, the son of Gaadhi, then recounted the divine legend of how the celestial river Ganga descended to Earth."
