"यह रामचरित मानस मुनियों का प्रिय है, इस सुहावने और पवित्र मानस की शिवजी ने रचना की। यह तीनों प्रकार के दोषों, दुःखों और दरिद्रता को तथा कलियुग की कुचालों और सब पापों का नाश करने वाला है॥5॥"

"Shri Ramcharitmanas is immensely cherished by the sages. It eradicates all defects of thoughts, words and deeds, and removes every kind of sorrow (Adhyatamik, arising from one’s body like birth, death, and old age; Adhidevik, caused by Demigods or natural forces; and Adhibhotik, resulting from one’s karma). Shri Ramcharitmanas alleviates miseries, dispels the evils of Kaliyug, and annihilates all forms of sin."
