"इसका नाम रामचरित मानस है, जिसके कानों से सुनते ही शांति मिलती है। मन रूपी हाथी विषय रूपी दावानल में जल रहा है, वह यदि इस रामचरित मानस रूपी सरोवर में आ पड़े तो सुखी हो जाए॥4॥"
English Meaning
"The name of my composition is Shri Ramcharitmanas. By listening to it, one attains eternal peace. The heart, compared to an elephant, is scorched by the flames of sensual desires. As soon as this elephant-like heart immerses itself in the sacred lake of Lord Ram’s divine deeds, it experiences profound happiness and bliss."
