"मेरी बुद्धि तो अत्यन्त नीची है और चाह बड़ी ऊँची है, चाह तो अमृत पाने की है, पर जगत में जुड़ती छाछ भी नहीं। सज्जन मेरी ढिठाई को क्षमा करेंगे और मेरे बाल वचनों को मन लगाकर (प्रेमपूर्वक) सुनेंगे॥4॥"
English Meaning
"My intellect is limited, yet my desire soars high. I yearn for nectar, but I cannot even find buttermilk. I trust the kind-hearted will forgive my audacity and lovingly listen to my child-like words."
