श्री राम-लक्ष्मण सहित विश्वामित्र जी का जनकपुर में प्रवेश – Sage Vishwamitra, Shri Ram Lakshman reach Janakpur

"तब प्रभु ने ऋषियों सहित (गंगाजी में) स्नान किया। ब्राह्मणों ने भाँति-भाँति के दान पाए। फिर मुनिवृन्द के साथ वे प्रसन्न होकर चले और शीघ्र ही जनकपुर के निकट पहुँच गए॥2॥"

"The Lord, along with groups of Rishis, bathed in the sacred waters of the river Ganga, while the Brahmins received various gifts. Thereafter, the Lord and the assembly of saints departed joyfully. Before long, they arrived near the Kingdom of Videh (the word Videh symbolizing detachment from the self. King Janak, also known as Videh, ruled this kingdom, whose capital was called Janakpuri or Mithila)."
