"राजमहल के सब दरवाजे (फाटक) सुंदर हैं, जिनमें वज्र के (मजबूत अथवा हीरों के चमकते हुए) किवाड़ लगे हैं। वहाँ (मातहत) राजाओं, नटों, मागधों और भाटों की भीड़ लगी रहती है। घोड़ों और हाथियों के लिए बहुत बड़ी-बड़ी घुड़सालें और गजशालाएँ (फीलखाने) बनी हुई हैं, जो सब समय घोड़े, हाथी और रथों से भरी रहती हैं॥1॥"
