भरतजी का चित्रकूट में पहुँचना, भरतादि सबका परस्पर मिलाप, पिता का शोक और श्राद्ध – Bharat arrives at Chitrakoot, Bharat and party meet others, mourning of king’s death and homage to the departed soul

"प्रेम अमृत है, विरह मंदराचल पर्वत है, भरतजी गहरे समुद्र हैं। कृपा के समुद्र श्री रामचन्द्रजी ने देवता और साधुओं के हित के लिए स्वयं (इस भरत रूपी गहरे समुद्र को अपने विरह रूपी मंदराचल से) मथकर यह प्रेम रूपी अमृत प्रकट किया है॥238॥"

"Love is like nectar, the grief of separation from Shri Ram like the Mandrachal mountain used for churning, and the vast ocean is Bharat ji’s heart. The all-merciful ocean of grace, Shri Raghuveer, churned this ocean (Bharat ji’s heart) with the Mandrachal of separation. From this churning arose the nectar of pure, selfless devotion, meant for the upliftment of Sages, who are likened to the Demigods. (During the churning of the Milky Ocean, the Demigods acted out of self-interest, to obtain the nectar of immortality. But here, Shri Ram’s intent was entirely selfless: to glorify Bharat ji’s devotion across the Cosmos. Just as Sages live to serve others without desire, Shri Ram too is ever-compassionate and selfless.)"
