"(देखा कि-) राजा सोच से व्याकुल हैं, चेहरे का रंग उड़ गया है। जमीन पर ऐसे पड़े हैं, मानो कमल जड़ छोड़कर (जड़ से उखड़कर) (मुर्झाया) पड़ा हो। मंत्री मारे डर के कुछ पूछ नहीं सकते। तब अशुभ से भरी हुई और शुभ से विहीन कैकेयी बोली-॥4॥"
