श्री राम-भरत-संवाद, पादुका प्रदान, भरतजी की बिदाई – Dialogue between Lord Ram and Bharat ji, the gift of sandals and his farewell

"रघुकुल (की रक्षा) के लिए दो किवाड़ हैं। कुशल (श्रेष्ठ) कर्म करने के लिए दो हाथ की भाँति (सहायक) हैं और सेवा रूपी श्रेष्ठ धर्म के सुझाने के लिए निर्मल नेत्र हैं। भरतजी इस अवलंब के मिल जाने से परम आनंदित हैं। उन्हें ऐसा ही सुख हुआ, जैसा श्री सीता-रामजी के रहने से होता है॥4॥"

"Or they could be compared to a pair of doors guarding the Raghu dynasty, a pair of hands assisting in righteous deeds, or a pair of eyes illuminating the noble path of service. Bharat ji’s heart overflowed with joy upon receiving this tangible support, for Shri Ram’s sandals made him feel as though Sita ji and Lord Ram themselves had graciously agreed to remain in Ayodhya with him."
