Hindi Meaning
"तुमको कोमल जानकर भी मैं कठोर (वियोग की बात) कह रहा हूँ। हे तात! बुरे समय में मेरे लिए यह कोई अनुचित बात नहीं है। कुठौर (कुअवसर) में श्रेष्ठ भाई ही सहायक होते हैं। वज्र के आघात भी हाथ से ही रोके जाते हैं॥4॥"
English Meaning
"…Though I know you to be tender-hearted, I must still speak these harsh words of separation. O’ Dear brother! In difficult times, this is not unfitting for me. For in adverse moments, it is the good-intentioned brothers who come forth as true helpers, just as even the blows of thunderbolts are warded off by one’s own hand…"
