Hindi Meaning
"मुझे उचित तो ऐसा है कि मैं सिर के बल चलकर जाऊँ। सेवक का धर्म सबसे कठिन होता है। भरतजी की दशा देखकर और कोमल वाणी सुनकर सब सेवकगण ग्लानि के मारे गले जा रहे हैं॥4॥"
English Meaning
"…It would be better if I walked on my head, for Shri Ram had walked barefoot on this very ground, and I should not tread upon it but instead place its sacred dust upon my head. The duty of a servant is the most difficult of all”. Hearing these gentle words and seeing Bharat ji walk barefoot, the attendants were filled with remorse, ashamed for having worn shoes."
