Hindi Meaning
"सुमंत्र हाथ मल-मलकर और सिर पीट-पीटकर पछताते हैं। मानो कोई कंजूस धन का खजाना खो बैठा हो। वे इस प्रकार चले मानो कोई बड़ा योद्धा वीर का बाना पहनकर और उत्तम शूरवीर कहलाकर युद्ध से भाग चला हो!॥4॥"
English Meaning
"Sumantra ji wept bitterly, rubbing his hands and striking his head like a miser who has lost all his treasured wealth. He moved forward like a man dressed as a mighty warrior, pretending to be very brave, yet fleeing the battlefield in despair."
