Hindi Meaning
"नगर के स्त्री-पुरुष आपस में कह रहे हैं कि विधाता ने खूब बनाकर बात बिगाड़ी! उनके शरीर दुबले, मन दुःखी और मुख उदास हो रहे हैं। वे ऐसे व्याकुल हैं, जैसे शहद छीन लिए जाने पर शहद की मक्खियाँ व्याकुल हों॥2॥"
English Meaning
"The men and women of Ayodhya said to one another, “Everything was going so well, and then God turned it all upside down.” Their bodies had grown weak, their hearts were heavy with sorrow, and their faces bore deep sadness, they felt as miserable as bumblebees robbed of their honey."
