Hindi Meaning
"मैं कल ही राम को युवराज पद दे रहा हूँ, इसलिए हे सुनयनी! तू मंगल साज सज। यह सुनते ही उसका कठोर हृदय दलक उठा (फटने लगा)। मानो पका हुआ बालतोड़ (फोड़ा) छू गया हो॥2॥"
English Meaning
"…Tomorrow, I shall appoint Ram as the Crown Prince. So, O’ Beautiful-eyed one, adorn yourself in all auspiciousness.” Hearing Dashrath ji’s words, Queen Kaikeyi’s cruel heart burned with anguish, like the sharp pain felt when a ripe abscess is pressed."
