"ऐसी भारी पीड़ा को भी उसने हँसकर छिपा लिया, जैसे चोर की स्त्री प्रकट होकर नहीं रोती (जिसमें उसका भेद न खुल जाए)। राजा उसकी कपट-चतुराई को नहीं लख रहे हैं, क्योंकि वह करोड़ों कुटिलों की शिरोमणि गुरु मंथरा की पढ़ाई हुई है॥3॥"
