भरतजी का चित्रकूट में पहुँचना, भरतादि सबका परस्पर मिलाप, पिता का शोक और श्राद्ध – Bharat arrives at Chitrakoot, Bharat and party meet others, mourning of king’s death and homage to the departed soul

"प्रेमभरे वचनों से लक्ष्मणजी ने पहचान लिया और मन में जान लिया कि भरतजी प्रणाम कर रहे हैं। (वे श्री रामजी की ओर मुँह किए खड़े थे, भरतजी पीठ पीछे थे, इससे उन्होंने देखा नहीं।) अब इस ओर तो भाई भरतजी का सरस प्रेम और उधर स्वामी श्री रामचन्द्रजी की सेवा की प्रबल परवशता॥2॥"

"(Since Lakshman ji was facing Shri Ram with his back toward Bharat ji, so he could not see him.) Upon hearing Bharat ji’s loving voice, Lakshman ji instantly recognised it and understood in his heart that Bharat ji was prostrating before the Lord. At that moment, Lakshman ji stood torn between two powerful emotions, his deep love for his elder brother, Bharat ji, and his unwavering sense of duty toward his master, Shri Ram."
