Hindi Meaning
"छोटे भाई शत्रुघ्न और सखा निषादराज समेत भरतजी का मन (प्रेम में) मग्न हो रहा है। हर्ष-शोक, सुख-दुःख आदि सब भूल गए। हे नाथ! रक्षा कीजिए, हे गुसाईं! रक्षा कीजिए’ ऐसा कहकर वे पृथ्वी पर दण्ड की तरह गिर पड़े॥1॥"
English Meaning
"Bharat ji, accompanied by his younger Brother Shatrughan and friend Guh, entered Shri Ram’s hermitage with hearts immersed in deep love. Overwhelmed, Bharat ji forgot all joy and sorrow, pain and comfort, and cried out, “Protect me, my Lord! Protect me, O’ Lord of the senses!” Then, like a slender stick (his body weakened by the long journey, grief, and fasting) he collapsed to the ground in complete surrender."
