Hindi Meaning
"श्री राम ने केवट से नाव माँगी, पर वह लाता नहीं। वह कहने लगा- मैंने तुम्हारा मर्म (भेद) जान लिया। तुम्हारे चरण कमलों की धूल के लिए सब लोग कहते हैं कि वह मनुष्य बना देने वाली कोई जड़ी है,॥2॥"
English Meaning
"When Shri Ram asked the boatman from the Kevat tribe to bring his boat to cross the river, the boatman humbly refused and said, “I know Your secret. Everyone says that the dust of Your lotus feet is a mystical herb that can turn even lifeless things into human beings…"
