Hindi Meaning
"जब राजा ने सुना कि श्री रामचन्द्र पधारे हैं तो उन्होंने धीरज धरके नेत्र खोले। मंत्री ने संभालकर राजा को बैठाया। राजा ने श्री रामचन्द्रजी को अपने चरणों में पड़ते (प्रणाम करते) देखा॥1॥"
English Meaning
"When the King of Earth, Dashrath ji, heard of Shri Ram’s arrival, he gathered his strength and slowly opened his eyes. With Sumantra’s support, he was helped to sit up, and there before him, he saw Shri Ram, humbly bowing at his feet."
