श्री वशिष्ठजी का भाषण – Guru Vashishth’s speech

"(भरतजी सोचते हैं कि) माता के मिस से काल ने कुचाल की है। जैसे धान के पकते समय ईति का भय आ उपस्थित हो। अब श्री रामचन्द्रजी का राज्याभिषेक किस प्रकार हो, मुझे तो एक भी उपाय नहीं सूझ पड़ता॥1॥"

"He felt that fate had merely used his Mother Kaikeyi as an instrument of misfortune. Just when the crop was ready for harvest (when the moment had arrived for Shri Ram’s coronation), disasters struck in six forms (like excessive rain, drought, pests, locusts, parrots devouring the fruit, and war, in the form of divine forces such as the Demigods, Goddess Saraswati, Manthra, his Mother, and the two boons), bringing calamity. He thought to himself, “How will Shri Ram’s coronation ever happen now? I can’t see a single path forward…"
