Hindi Meaning
"भावार्थ : रण में चढ़ आकर कपट-चतुराई करना और शत्रु पर कृपा करना (दया दिखाना) तो बड़ी भारी कायरता है। दूतों ने लौटकर तुरंत सब बातें कहीं, जिन्हें सुनकर खर-दूषण का हृदय अत्यंत जल उठा॥7॥"
English Meaning
"…Entering the battlefield ready for war, then relying on deceit and cunning, and showing mercy to the enemy, is a mark of cowardice (for the enemy must not be spared).” The messengers swiftly returned to Khar and Dushan and delivered Shri Ram’s reply. Hearing His words, their hearts blazed with fury."
