"यह श्री रामचरित मानस पुण्य रूप, पापों का हरण करने वाला, सदा कल्याणकारी, विज्ञान और भक्ति को देने वाला, माया मोह और मल का नाश करने वाला, परम निर्मल प्रेम रूपी जल से परिपूर्ण तथा मंगलमय है। जो मनुष्य भक्तिपूर्वक इस मानसरोवर में गोता लगाते हैं, वे संसाररूपी सूर्य की अति प्रचण्ड किरणों से नहीं जलते॥2॥"

"This Shri Ramcharitmanas is a sacred composition that destroys sins, is ever auspicious, bestows wisdom and devotion, dispels illusion, attachment, and inner impurities, and is filled with the pure waters of divine love, ever radiating auspiciousness. Those who immerse themselves with devotion in this holy lake of Shri Ram’s divine deeds are no longer scorched by the blazing Sun of worldly existence, nor are they consumed like moths rushing toward a flame."
