Hindi Meaning
"भावार्थ:-श्री रामजी के लौटने की अवधि का एक ही दिन बाकी रह गया, अतएव नगर के लोग बहुत आतुर (अधीर) हो रहे हैं। राम के वियोग में दुबले हुए स्त्री-पुरुष जहाँ-तहाँ सोच (विचार) कर रहे हैं (कि क्या बात है श्री रामजी क्यों नहीं आए)।"
English Meaning
"Only one day remained of the fixed term of exile, and the entire city was overcome with deep anguish and impatience. Men and women alike, their bodies grown thin and frail through the pain of separation from Shri Ram, wandered here and there, absorbed in anxious reflection, (wondering why Shri Ram had not yet returned)."
