"निराकार, ओंकार के मूल, तुरीय (तीनों गुणों से अतीत), वाणी, ज्ञान और इन्द्रियों से परे, कैलासपति, विकराल, महाकाल के भी काल, कृपालु, गुणों के धाम, संसार से परे आप परमेश्वर को मैं नमस्कार करता हूँ॥2॥"

"…I bow to You, Lord Shiv, for You are formless in essence, free from all material embodiment, and the very source of the mystic syllable “Om.” Transcending the three modes of material nature, You are the Supreme Lord, beyond the reach of the senses, speech, and intellect. O’ Lord of Mount Kailash, You are the devourer even of the great Time-Spirit, all-merciful, the abode of infinite virtues, and You transcend the bounds of this world…"
