Hindi Meaning
"स्त्रियों के बाल ही भूषण हैं (उनके शरीर पर कोई आभूषण नहीं रह गया) और उनको भूख बहुत लगती है (अर्थात् वे सदा अतृप्त ही रहती हैं)। वे धनहीन और बहुत प्रकार की ममता होने के कारण दुःखी रहती हैं। वे मूर्ख सुख चाहती हैं, पर धर्म में उनका प्रेम नहीं है। बुद्धि थोड़ी है और कठोर है, उनमें कोमलता नहीं है॥1॥"
English Meaning
"…The women wore no ornaments other than their own hair and were driven by insatiable appetite. Distressed by lack of wealth and bound by countless attachments, they longed for happiness, yet in their folly failed to follow the path of righteousness. Devoid of discernment, they became harsh in nature and lacked compassion…"
