होइ बुद्धि जौं परम सयानी। तिन्ह तन चितव न अनहित जानी॥
जौं तेहि बिघ्न बुद्धि नहिं बाधी। तौ बहोरि सुर करहिं उपाधी॥5॥

Hindi Meaning
"यदि बुद्धि बहुत ही सयानी हुई, तो वह उन (ऋद्धि-सिद्धियों) को अहितकर (हानिकर) समझकर उनकी ओर ताकती नहीं। इस प्रकार यदि माया के विघ्नों से बुद्धि को बाधा न हुई, तो फिर देवता उपाधि (विघ्न) करते हैं॥5॥"
English Meaning
"…If the mind is supremely discerning and perceives these powers as harmful, it does not even cast a glance toward them. And when such powers fail to divert the mind, the Demigods themselves intervene to raise further obstacles…"
