Hindi Meaning
"मनोरथ क्रीड़ा है, शरीर लकड़ी है। ऐसा धैर्यवान् कौन है, जिसके शरीर में यह कीड़ा न लगा हो? पुत्र की, धन की और लोक प्रतिष्ठा की, इन तीन प्रबल इच्छाओं ने किसकी बुद्धि को मलिन नहीं कर दिया (बिगाड़ नहीं दिया)?॥3॥"
English Meaning
"…Desires are like worms, and the body is like wood; there is no resolute person who has not been eaten away by the termites of desire. Who in this world has not been tainted by the threefold cravings (the desire for a son to continue one’s lineage, the pursuit of wealth, and the longing for fame)?…"
