बुध जुग धर्म जानि मन माहीं। तजि अधर्म रति धर्म कराहीं॥3॥

Hindi Meaning
"तमोगुण बहुत हो, रजोगुण थोड़ा हो, चारों ओर वैर-विरोध हो, यह कलियुग का प्रभाव है। पंडित लोग युगों के धर्म को मन में ज्ञान (पहचान) कर, अधर्म छोड़कर धर्म में प्रीति करते हैं॥3॥"
English Meaning
"…In Kaliyug, the mode of ignorance predominates, with a lesser presence of the mode of passion. Its influence spreads an atmosphere of hostility everywhere. The wise, discerning the qualities of each era, renounce wrongful deeds and steadfastly embrace acts of righteousness…"
