"हे भाई! इस शरीर के प्राप्त होने का फल विषयभोग नहीं है (इस जगत्‌ के भोगों की तो बात ही क्या) स्वर्ग का भोग भी बहुत थोड़ा है और अंत में दुःख देने वाला है। अतः जो लोग मनुष्य शरीर पाकर विषयों में मन लगा देते हैं, वे मूर्ख अमृत को बदलकर विष ले लेते हैं॥1॥"

"…The purpose of this body, dear brother, is not the pursuit of sensual pleasures. Even the enjoyments of Heaven are fleeting and ultimately end in sorrow. One who, after attaining a human body, runs after material desires is like a fool exchanging nectar for poison…"
