Hindi Meaning
"हे भाई! दूसरों की भलाई के समान कोई धर्म नहीं है और दूसरों को दुःख पहुँचाने के समान कोई नीचता (पाप) नहीं है। हे तात! समस्त पुराणों और वेदों का यह निर्णय (निश्चित सिद्धांत) मैंने तुमसे कहा है, इस बात को पण्डित लोग जानते हैं॥1॥"
English Meaning
"…O’ Brother, there is no virtue greater than benevolence, and no meanness more grievous than causing pain to others. Dear brother, this is the verdict of the Vedas and the Puranas, and the wise also recognise this truth…"
