Hindi Meaning
"हे गिरिजे! मैंने कलियुग के पापों का नाश करने वाली और मन के मल को दूर करने वाली रामकथा का वर्णन किया। यह रामकथा संसृति (जन्म-मरण) रूपी रोग के (नाश के) लिए संजीवनी जड़ी है, वेद और विद्वान पुरुष ऐसा कहते हैं॥1॥"
English Meaning
"…O’ Girija, I have thus recited Shri Ramcharitmanas, which dispels the sins of Kaliyug and cleanses the heart of its impurities. It is like the life-restoring Sanjeevani herb, a divine remedy that cures the affliction of birth and death, as declared by the Vedas and affirmed by the wise…"
