Hindi Meaning
"मैंने यह परम पवित्र इतिहास कहा, जिसे कानों से सुनते ही भवपाश (संसार के बंधन) छूट जाते हैं और शरणागतों को (उनके इच्छानुसार फल देने वाले) कल्पवृक्ष तथा दया के समूह श्री रामजी के चरणकमलों में प्रेम उत्पन्न होता है॥1॥"
English Meaning
"…I have narrated this most sacred account of Lord Ram’s divine exploits. By listening to it, a person is freed from the bonds of worldly existence and gains steadfast devotion to the lotus feet of Shri Ram, the wish-fulfilling tree and the very embodiment of infinite compassion…"
