Hindi Meaning
"उन्होंने सिर नवाकर और बहुत विनय करके रावण से कहा कि दूत को मारना नहीं चाहिए, यह नीति के विरुद्ध है। हे गोसाईं। कोई दूसरा दंड दिया जाए। सबने कहा- भाई! यह सलाह उत्तम है॥4॥"
English Meaning
"He bowed his head humbly and reasoned with Ravan in many ways, saying, “O’ Lord, it is against the code of diplomacy to kill an envoy. Please grant him another punishment instead.” Everyone present in the court agreed, saying, “Brother, your counsel is wise.”"
