"देवता और दिक्पाल हाथ जोड़े बड़ी नम्रता के साथ भयभीत हुए सब रावण की भौं ताक रहे हैं। (उसका रुख देख रहे हैं) उसका ऐसा प्रताप देखकर भी हनुमान्‌जी के मन में जरा भी डर नहीं हुआ। वे ऐसे निःशंख खड़े रहे, जैसे सर्पों के समूह में गरुड़ निःशंख निर्भय) रहते हैं॥4॥"

"Hanuman ji observed the Demigods and the Guardians of all directions standing humbly with folded hands, their eyes fixed anxiously upon Ravan’s furrowed brows. Yet, even upon witnessing Ravan’s immense power and splendour, Hanuman ji felt no trace of fear in his heart, just as Garud, the King of Birds, stands utterly fearless amidst a host of serpents."
