Hindi Meaning
"प्रभु ने अच्छा किया जो मुझे शिक्षा (दंड) दी, किंतु मर्यादा (जीवों का स्वभाव) भी आपकी ही बनाई हुई है। ढोल, गँवार, शूद्र, पशु और स्त्री- ये सब शिक्षा के अधिकारी हैं॥3॥"
English Meaning
"…O’ Lord, You have done right in reprimanding me, yet the nature of both the animate and the inanimate has been ordained by You alone. Kettledrums, uncultured persons, shudras (working class), livestock, and women, all are deserving of care and guidance…"
