Hindi Meaning
"यद्यपि हनुमान्जी ने भक्ति, ज्ञान, वैराग्य और नीति से सनी हुई बहुत ही हित की वाणी कही, तो भी वह महान् अभिमानी रावण बहुत हँसकर (व्यंग्य से) बोला कि हमें यह बंदर बड़ा ज्ञानी गुरु मिला!॥1॥"
English Meaning
"Although Hanuman ji’s words were filled with devotion, wisdom, detachment, and righteousness, the arrogant Ravan burst into loud laughter and said, “Ah, we’ve discovered a most learned teacher in this monkey!…"
