Hindi Meaning
"सब प्रकार से नीच उस निषाद को भगवान् ने भरतजी की भाँति हृदय से लगा लिया। तुलसीदासजी कहते हैं- इस मंदबुद्धि ने (मैंने) मोहवश उस प्रभु को भुला दिया। रावण के शत्रु का यह पवित्र करने वाला चरित्र सदा ही श्री रामजी के चरणों में प्रीति उत्पन्न करने वाला है। यह कामादि विकारों को हरने वाला और (भगवान् के स्वरूप का) विशेष ज्ञान उत्पन्न करने वाला है। देवता, सिद्ध और मुनि आनंदित होकर इसे गाते हैं॥2॥"
English Meaning
"The Chief of the Nishads, Guh, though considered lowly in every outward respect, was embraced by Lord Hari as tenderly as His own brother, Shri Bharat. Tulsidas ji says, “On the other hand, I, the dull-witted one, have forgotten the Lord in every way because of my attachments.” The virtuous deeds of Shri Ram, the foe of Ravan, awaken eternal love and devotion at His feet, dispel worldly desires and other vices, impart spiritual wisdom, and are joyfully sung by the Demigods, realized Saints, and Sages."
