"व्यर्थ बकवाद करके अपने सुंदर यश का नाश न करो। क्षमा करना, तुम्हें नीति सुनाता हूँ, सुनो! संसार में तीन प्रकार के पुरुष होते हैं- पाटल (गुलाब), आम और कटहल के समान। एक (पाटल) फूल देते हैं, एक (आम) फूल और फल दोनों देते हैं एक (कटहल) में केवल फल ही लगते हैं। इसी प्रकार (पुरुषों में) एक कहते हैं (करते नहीं), दूसरे कहते और करते भी हैं और एक (तीसरे) केवल करते हैं, पर वाणी से कहते नहीं॥"

In this world there are three kinds of men, like the rose, the mango, and the jackfruit. The rose bears only flowers, the mango bears both flowers and fruit, and the jackfruit bears fruit alone. In the same way, some men only speak but do not act, some both speak and act, and others act silently, never announcing their deeds through words.”"
